While searching for the band with her friends Caroline and Tris, Norah randomly kisses Nick to prove to Tris that she does have a boyfriend. When Nick realizes that his ex-girlfriend is Norah’s mean friend, he decides to go a long with it.  It turns out those amazing playlists Norah loved from Tris' ex-boyfriend were made by Nick. Critical Evaluation

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist is based on a book by the same name from Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. In the movie Michael Cera plays Nick and Kat Dennings plays Norah. The actors did a great job of creating realistic teens that were searching for love in all the wrong places. It was fun getting to watch the story unfold as the teens traveled around NYC looking for the band “Where’s Fluffy?.” The music in the movie was also incredible. The songs weren’t from mainstream artists and were all from smaller indie bands. This made the music in the movie feel authentic and real. I felt like I was getting a real tour of NYC and the underground music scene. I also loved how the movie incorporated the traditional teen romantic comedy format without the typical stereotypes. Nick and Norah are just normal teens trying to figure out who they are in the larger scheme of life. Nick at the beginning of the movie is awkward and we see his character grow in confidence over the movie. Norah’s character has low esteem and over the course of the movie realizes her self worth. The two teens help each realize that they don’t have to settle for love and that they are both worth so much more as human beings.
