Dominique Burns e-Portfolio

Welcome to the e-portfolio of Dominique Burns. This websites serves as a culminating project for my Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree with San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science (SLIS). This master’s program required the successful completion of 43 credit hours and a culminating project of all coursework in the form of an e-portfolio.

 

This e-portfolio includes evidence of my coursework and how I successfully met the required 15 competencies deemed essential to librarianship. These competencies included Ethics & Values, Settings, Diversity, Management, Information Retrieval, Collections, Cataloging & Classification, Technology, Reference, Information Seeking, Instruction, Research, Communication, Evaluation, and Global Communities. Besides meeting the required competencies, I am excited to be graduating with a 4.0 in my coursework.
