Each competency is explained in detail on their designated page and includes coursework at the bottom as evidence to show that I successfully met the competency. Evidence comes in three forms, which are:

1. Embedded medial files (Video)

2. Linked PDF files (Papers, Project.)

3. External Links  (My Websites & Blogs)

I started this program in the Spring semester of 2015, while working full time at a K-12 school in their elementary/middle school library and high school library. Through work and graduate school I was able to figure out that I would like to work as a youth services librarian in either a public or school library. I have learned that I am passionate about helping young people with information, reading, and digital literacy skills. I made sure to take classes that would best help me work towards this goal. Here are the following classes I took during my two years at San Jose State University:

Spring 2015

Summer 2015

Fall 2015

Spring 2016

Summer 2016

Fall 2016

You can click on the competencies page to explore my e-portfolio or visit each individual competency in the drop-down menu above. As well, there is a conclusion section on the site’s menu, which includes my final thoughts and reflections on the work I did over the past two years. I’m excited to be graduating with a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree with San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science (SLIS). I hope you enjoy exploring my e-portfolio and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me on the contact page!
